Winter make-up for up-do hairstyles
Each new season brings with it a whole host of new, exciting hairstyles, not to mention hundreds of different make-up looks. For winter 2014-2015, make-up is far from last summer’s popular trends. Put away your dewy effect foundations and make room in your beauty bag for matte versions. Find out which make-up you should be wearing with your updos in the coming months.
Make-up trends. This winter, carbon-colored make-up looks are hot to trot. Eyes should be heavily defined with a black liner, whilst the rest of your face appears natural. Natural, however, doesn’t necessarily mean wearing no make-up at all! Select a matte finish foundation in a similar shade to your natural skin tone. Avoid formulas that leave you with a dewy effect, as this winter is all about smooth matte looks. Add a subtle sweep of blush across the cheeks, then apply a nourishing balm to your lips to prevent them becoming chapped and voila!
Winter make-up for up-do styles. Up-do hairstyles work wonders for your features as they instantly open up your face. This season’s make-up trends are ideal for these types of hairstyles, as they sculpt your face. Many up-dos can often look like they only require a minute or two of styling, meaning you should compensate by applying a more glamorous make-up look that oozes femininity. Cover your eyelids in a black shadow, then leave the rest of your complexion pared-back and natural.
Which up-do? Get inspired by the recent Roberto Cavalli runway looks. Gather your locks at the rear of your head and secure into either a ponytail or a chignon. For the final touches, add a spritz of Shine Spray to create a glamorous finish. Your style should look effortless, not overdone! Remember…less is always more!
