The bejewelled head-dress
We’ve noticed a few strange accessories taking centre stage on the runways this season. After spotting a diamanté tiara on the catwalks (you heard us right), it’s now time to turn your attention to bejewelled head-dresses that were encrusted with gems. Strange, but true.
The last few seasons have proven to critics that fashion house Dolce & Gabbana certainly aren’t running out of inspiration. After sending a jewelled crown down their runway show, it’s now the glitzy head-dress that is causing a stir in the fashion world. Although you might be tempted by the dainty tiaras we recently featured, it might be slightly harder for you to commit to wearing this flashy head-dress. However, this headgear does come with one important plus point: there’s no need to style your hair!
Perhaps D&G have been watching a few jousting sessions recently. Or, maybe their creative designers binge-watched popular TV series ‘Game of Thrones’ and were inspired to replicate a medieval look. Whatever the reason, we somehow don’t see ourselves wearing this bejewelled head-dress Monday morning on the tube! Although the head-dress aspect may seem practical for winter, the jewel detail takes this piece one step too far, in our books. If you’re desperate to give this look a go, save it for a Halloween party.
