Streetstyle: volume at the roots
Her look? A mixture of classic chic and grunge. With her little black dress and country chic checked scarf, our fashionista is playing Jekyll and Hyde with her outfit. Then on the bottom half she’s sporting a pair of holey black tights! It just shows that the little black dress really does go with anything. This staple item, which any fashion fiend should own, is worn short with opaque tights and biker boots, or slightly longer but never below the knee.
Her hairstyle? Our model has long, soft hair which is full of volume, especially at the roots. It’s no secret that to get your hair looking as sleek as this you have to blow-dry it properly! To do this you’ll need a round brush and a hair dryer. Hair is first blasted dry, then worked with a round brush afterwards.
Tip of the day. To get similar volume at the roots, some of you might have to cheat a little bit. The trick is to simply backcomb your hair at the roots to get this chic, blow-dried effect. Feel free to apply a small amount of styling mousse for added texture. This is a particularly good idea if you have fine hair. Finally, spray with hairspray to keep the style in place.
