On-trend braids for summer 2014
Braids are simply a must-have for summer. Every year, this style resurfaces as soon as the warmer weather starts to appear and is perfect for every hair type and length. Find out which braid styles you should be wearing for summer 2014…
At Jean Louis David, there are 3 braid types that are quickly becoming favorites amongst both clients and staff. ‘The Style Bar enables customers to choose a braid out of a selection of 3, which will then be created in just 15 minutes for 15 euros. Each individual braid varies slightly and creates a different end-result. You can opt for a rock-chic, glamorous or bohemian braid, thanks to the Speed Up-Do service’.
The Style Bar enables you to walk out of the salon with a beautiful braided crown, side braid or a sleek plait, some of this season’s most on-trend versions of the braid. ‘The herringbone braid is great for women who want to add a touch of originality to their look, giving it a unique feel. Our most popular braid, however, has to be the side braid which has been one of this season’s most requested looks’.
Even short hair can be braided. ‘You can even try out this look with a bob, however only if it is around shoulder, or collar-bone, length. The braided headband is the perfect option for girls with shorter hair. Ideally, your hair should be fairly thick if you want to create the perfect braid’.
Our tip: You can also try creating your very own braids at home. Braid hair as you normally would, then to give it a bohemian chic vibe tease out a few strands which will prevent your plait from looking too severe and tight.
