Looking after your extensions
Hair extensions are a great way of getting long hair in just a few hours! Perfect for those who want an instant change. To make sure they last as long as possible, follow this advice from the pros.
Jean Louis David hair extensions can last up to 3 months. As long as you take good care of them. First of all, remember that they are attached with rings, not glue, so they will not damage your hair. “To wash and care for your hair, it is best to use siliconfree products, as this might cause your extensions to slide.” And avoid washing your hair every day. Two to three times a week is perfectly fine.
When it comes to styling, however, you can use whichever styling products you like to add variation and straighten, curl or tie up your hair. “It is best to use straightening irons or curling tongs to create wavy hair rather than blowdrying, so as not to damage your extensions.”
To untangle your hair, use a brush rather than a comb. “Choose a flexible padded brush to avoid pulling on your extensions.”
Our tip: Before going to bed, tie your hair up so that it doesn’t get tangled overnight. This will make it easier to brush the next morning so that you can style it in no time. The same goes for when you’re taking a dip in the sea or going swimming.
