Infinite styles using hair clips!
We’ve moved on from the time when hair accessories were seen as out-dated – they’re back in fashion! Hair clips and headbands are being dug out of wardrobes and worn proudly once more. Especially hair clips ad they’re not only useful for taming rebellious strands of hair…
The “it” accessories. Head scarves, headbands and hair clips are surfacing everywhere. And not only to keep hair in place but to add a bit of personality to a look or to boost a boring hair-do. Just be careful to avoid accessories that are super girly, i.e. with childish patterns!
Types of hair clips. There are many different types, from the traditional to the fancy, from small to over-sized. Rule out any hair clip with childish patterns and white hair clips, which will contrast too much with your hair, whether you’re brunette or not. Opt for a colour that matches your natural hair colour as closely as possible (or choose a bright colour) so that the clip blends into your style.
An on-trend style. To make the most of your hair clips, here’s an idea for a retro hair style. Straighten your hair with straighteners or use a dryer and barrel brush. Create a straight side-parting and fix a strand of twisted hair quite high up using your hair clips.
Using hair clips to create retro waves. The best tool for this job is a set of flat hair slides but you can achieve equally good retro waves with hair clips. Working with wet hair, apply a small amount of styling mousse and attach three equally spaced clips horizontally at the front of your head. Dry your hair and then take the clips out. The easy way to achieve a gorgeous retro wave!
