Tucking hair into your sweater: the next big thing?
Up until recently, 2014 has been all about beautiful, long lengths, whilst the bob has taken a back seat (for now at least). However, this season’s runway shows have proved otherwise; models wore their long lengths tucked into the neck of their sweaters, creating the illusion of a shorter style. Want to create this look? Read on to find out our top tips.
The trend. Get the best of both worlds this autumn by keeping your longer lengths whilst faking a shorter style from time to time. How can you do this, we hear you ask? It couldn’t be easier. Simply tuck your ends into your sweater. It’s important that you wear a roll-neck sweater, as this will help to create your new bob’s rounded shape. A turtleneck makes this look much simpler to create.
Who can wear the runway look? Those who like to change their look frequently, depending on their mood. Let’s face it…who hasn’t dreamt of wearing super long lengths one day, and an uber-short bob the next? Although this technique has existed for some time now, it hasn’t gained popularity until recently. You can now chop and change as frequently as you wish, thanks to this new trend.
How to style the new trend. There’s nothing complicated about this style. All you need is a roll-neck sweater. Straightened locks will also make your bob appear sleeker, so give your hair a going over with the straighteners. When tucking your lengths into your collar, leave a few strands loose at the front to give your style some movement. Ideally, your hair should have a few layers in the front to make this easier. Curly, frizzy or hair that has already been cut short will not be able to create this look. Everyone else can get styling!
